Junior College Zone

The guidelines for developing and operating enrolment schemes are issued under Schedule 20, section 9 of the Education and Training Act 2020.

This section, formerly section 11G(3) of the Education Act 1989, describes the basis on which the Secretary’s powers in relation to enrolment schemes are exercised.

Zoned Students

Students living within the Chapel Downs Junior College home zone are eligible to enrol. Proof of residence will be required, and applications from in-zone students will be sought each year by a date published by the school.

Out of Zone Students

Each year, the board will determine how many places may be available for out-of-zone students. Applications will be processed according to the priority order outlined in the enrolment scheme. If applications exceed available places, selection will be by ballot.
